Licence Conditions
ELEMENTS OF OPERATING SCHEDULE TO ADDRESS LICENSING OBJECTIVES:
a) General - all four licensing objectives (b,c,d,e)
The Town Hall shall be used for the benefit of the community.
The Council Chamber shall be available for hire to the local community groups and others.
Lettings shall only be permitted by the Town Council on the basis that there will be regard to the Waverley Borough Council Statement of Licensing Policy, as supplemented by the information given below.
Haslemere Town Council shall continue to inform and consult the Police in relation to public events that occur on the High Street and West Street, Haslemere.
b) The prevention of crime and disorder
The Town Hall shall remain a secure public building.
Lettings to persons other than councillors or community groups, etc. shall be scrutinised, with discretion being given to Town Coucil staff to refuse some applications.
Haslemere Town Council shall continue to inform and consult the Police in relation to public events that occur on the High Street and West Street, Haslemere.
c) Public Safety
The number of persons attending functions in the Town Hall shall be limited to 50.
Controls shall be put in place to scrutinise hirers for the purpose of this licence.
d) The prevention of public nuisance
No alcohol sales shall be allowed, unless covered by a Temporary Event Notice.
Any musical entertainment shall be restricted to small recitals.
Lettings to commercial organisations shall only be permitted on the basis that no unauthorised flyposting/advertising is carried out.
The Town Council shall continue to monitor events in order to prevent public nuisance.
e) The protection of children from harm
No child under 16 shall be permitted to attend a function at the Town Hall unless they are under the supervision of one of their parents or relatives or adults who have the appropriate clearance to supervise children.
